Wink that's not astonishing : alcohol is transformed in sugar and while running, you need sugar, so.....

Maybe could you try to eat honey before running, it is better for health than alcohol Smile

Quite right. All that running & drinking was in my wild youth. Now I've given up alcohol, and running, and coffee -- I drink green tea with honey and save all my energy for taiji.

Well, all I know of age is that theres some little old white haired women in one of Jesses classes with a sassy sexy attitude, that actually jumps for the kicks during Chen lao jia yi lu...

My wife didnt care that I pointed out that ladies vitality when she herself gave up on the form as she is in her elderly early 30's...

BTW that same lady also took me to task for going easy on her during push hands...

I didn't say I'd lost it.
In fact, with Taiji, I've found it.

Surely this is what we call the human condition.
getting emotional would lead to mistakes

Yes Kuroyama, I agree with you absolutely. One thought re 'Emotions while training'. Sometimes when we are training in class, it all suddenly seems hilarious and I want to laugh out loud. For example, at the end of class on Saturday, Meilin said, "Let's do some qigong to calm us down" -- and we all spontaneously bounced around like over-excited children. Then we all laughed.

Yes, perhaps the exercise itself releases emotions. My acupuncturist told me that when she was doing her acupuncture training, the class had to stay in a standing meditation for 20 minutes. People were laughing, crying hysterically and generally breaking down all over the place.
