From here to there (chen tai chi videos)

Over the years, I've studied Karate and Tae Kwon Do.

As an adult, my path has changed and I've taken an interest in Chen style Tai Chi.

I recently purchased the Tai Chi Fundamentals video and am now trying to plan my study for the future.

Can you recommend a preferred order for learning the Chen style of Tai Chi? I would someday like to do weapons practice as well as forms.

Thanks,
Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris.
The way of learning Chen style highly depends on particular teacher and the method he consider fit the best to the student.

I would recommend to start with Old Frame Routine One (Laojia Yi Lu) and standing meditation zhang zhuang. After foundation is built you may learn Old Frame Routing Two (Laojia Er Lu) and weapons - sword, broad sword, guandao, spear and etc. Then you can learn New Frame Routine One and Two (Xinjia Yi Lu)
