Hi Josué,

Inspecting posture from picture is really hard. There are many variables angle from each picture is taken, appropriate balance of yin and yang and so on. In other words, outside look at the posture doesn't really show if it is correct or not

Hi Josue,

Your posture looks good!

I think I see two things you can improve though:

1) your stance seem to be a bit narrow. i.e. if you bring your back foot directly forward, it should land shoulder width from the left foot. Jesse calls that the "channel" between the feet. From the picture, it seems your right heel is on the same line as your left foot. Move your right foot 25-30cm to the right: the stance will feel more comfortable and you will be able to relax the hip even more.

2) bend your right arm a bit more by dropping the elbow a bit, it will allow to relax shoulder and wrist a bit more.

Static posture work is good. You should be able to meditate few minutes in every posture :-) This means that you have to find in every posture how to relax hip, shoulders, arms, etc, while keeping a good intent.

Not always easy to explain things with a keyboard :-) Try these changes, see what works for you.

Hope that helps!

Hi Josue. You look good!
One detail though, I think you can turn your right foot in to be at 45 degree angle instead of 90 degrees. I bet you will feel better.

Taiji is internal art, meaning you have to spend time to listen to how your body feels: do you feel tension in the knees, in the hip, the shoulders, etc? Try to make small changes to your posture and see how you feel. Look for a way to relax in every position. The outside posture is just a "starting point" for searching how you can relax and feel good. I hope it makes sense.

Keep up the good work!
